Rebecca Kerr

Rebecca Kerr: “My approach to family law matters is one that encourages cooperation and a strong effort to resolve cases without need for extensive litigation whenever possible. If the situation involves minor children, I will always advocate for my clients with the best interest of their minor child(ren) in mind.”

“My clients benefit from my personalized approach and commitment to each and every client. I approach every client with a focus on compassion, integrity, advocacy, and understanding. I will be your strongest advocate and team member."

Following a special and general education K-12 teaching career spanning 20+ years, Rebecca has been practicing law as a Family Law attorney since 2015. Her decades of experience as a teacher brings an entirely refreshing perspective to her understanding of families, their children and the need to resolve family law cases with the least amount of damage as possible. She is a zealous advocate for case settlement and mediation rather than litigation.

Rebecca is the proud mother of three adult children. A vegetarian since the age of sixteen, Rebecca loves animals including her own cats. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, reality television, and spending time with family and friends. As an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, she performs marriage ceremonies throughout the state of Michigan.

Rebecca attended Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law - Ann Arbor Campus, graduating Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. Teaching full-time while attending full-time evening classes, she was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll for all 9 terms, and was awarded three certificates of merit (highest score in the class).
